HANATSUKA, Hitomi

Research Assistant

HANATSUKA(花塚ひとみ) has served as a Research Assistant at the Utsunomiya University Global Justice & Peace Research Institute (UU-GJP) since October 2025. She worked as a Legal and Political Affairs Intern at the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) Delegation in Japan from May to December 2025. Her research interests lie in public international law, with a particular focus on the legal status of terrorism and its implications for international peacebuilding. She has also participated in major international humanitarian law competitions, including the Nuremberg Moot Court and the Jean-Pictet Competition.
